The procedure is based on the principles of hemagglutination. Red blood cells have antigens and agglutinate in the presence of test sera (standard reagents) containing the appropriate antibodies.
BedSide Test Card ABO+D – is an in vitro diagnostic accessory designed for professional use to confirm ABO + Rh blood group compatibility prior to transfusion, at the patient's bedside. This test is a complementary comparison of the patient's blood type with the blood type intended for transfusion (blood bag) using test reagents: Anti-A, Anti-B, Anti-D
The disposable plates used in HX Serowhites blood typing effectively replace glass plates. The plates are designed and manufactured so that reagents applied to the plate can be mixed without stirrers . The use of disposable plates reduces the risk of contamination and also limits contact with potentially infectious material.
PBS – 0.15 mol/L NaCl buffered solution pH 6.9
PBS (saline solution) is an aqueous solution containing sodium chloride in its composition. PBS has an osmolarity equivalent to blood plasma making it an isotonic solution, ideal for studying cells and other systems under physiological conditions. Thanks to its isotonic nature and lack of toxicity to living cells, it is a buffer commonly used in many analyses.
Application examples:
– dilution of cells for counting
– isolation of DNA and RNA
– tests: ELISA, WESTERN BLOT
– transport medium for microbiological samples and more
– agarose and polyacrylamide electrophoresis
– Cell cultures (e.g., for washing and transporting cells or tissues)
– washing of control and measurement equipment
